The Power of Prayer

At our regular monthly deacons meeting last night, I gave a report on The Springs.  I wanted to share with everyone how things were going, what we were doing, and to encourage their continued support.  Following an enthusiastic question and answer session, I could tell that the folks in the room were almost as encouraged and excited as I am about The Springs.

To conclude the meeting, the chairman decided to put the power of prayer into action.  I was called to stand in the center of the room while 55 or so men placed their hands on me and prayed.  They prayed for me, but mostly they prayed for you.  They prayed for men and women who have not yet experienced The Springs.  They prayed for you to hear and obey the Spirit of God as He speaks to us.  They prayed for you to grow in your relationships with Christ.  They prayed for you to spread the word about The Springs, and to encourage you to bring your family and friends.

They prayed for you.

Now let's harness those prayers and put feet to our faith, and invite people to The Springs.  Better still, let's invite people to Jesus....

Blessings!

This Week at The Springs!

Another new event is on schedule for Sunday at The Springs!  This week, we'll offer an opportunity to chat together for a bit following the service.  I have some specific questions for each of you, and you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss specific topics such as small groups and what you think our church will look like in 6 months.  I guarantee an invigorating and exciting family time!

We're also trying some new hymn arrangements in our worship celebration, and Lead Pastor Deron Spoo has prepared a fascinating message to conclude the series called Fear Not.

It will be a good day!

Blessings-

Gonna Be a Great Day!

Hello Springs friends-

I can't tell you how excited I am about the service Sunday (Feb 7) at The Springs!  Following last week's cancellation (even though I was out of town), I am ready to see everybody!

This week, we continue the sermon series called Fear Not.  This is one of Deron's best.  As part of our celebration time, we're singing some old Hank Williams, Sr., as well as some of our favorite songs.  We'll take some added time to get reacquainted with one another.  And, we'll share in communion together.

Try not to miss this one!

Blessings-

Eric B

Out of Pocket....

My family is taking a little trip this week and will be out of pocket until Monday.  I know God is at work at The Springs, and I can hardly wait to hear and see what takes place this weekend.  Thanks to several volunteers who helped move the gear into the school tonight, in preparation for the ice storm that is headed our way.  We didn't want to risk not being able to get the trailer out.

Please remember to pray for George Benson (Jane's dad).  Pneumonia at 86 is very difficult.

Blessings, friends.  I will be making phone calls and email contacts to encourage everyone to be at The Springs on Sunday!

Volunteer Meeting

Your reminder about the Volunteer Meeting on Sunday evening, 5:00 PM in the Parlor.  We'll spend a few minutes catching up with one another, but the bulk of our time will be invested in dreaming and planning for the future....  See you there!
Mobile blogging is set up- let me hear from you!

How Are We Doing?

Of our three core values:
Worship- Meet God Where He Is
Community- Meet People Where They Are
Service- Meet Needs Where We Find Them

Which of these three do we do best?  Which do we need to improve the most?  Why?

Welcome to The Springs!

Let's spread the word among our members to join this blog and keep lines of communication open!
